Weather normals in the region
The city
Torre del Mar

Torre del Mar is a very nice place to stay all the year round. Most people in Spain are on holidays in august so it's by far the peakest period of the year. Attractions for kids (and older people) are everywhere in the summer. The rest of the year is quiet as retired people from all over Europe are replacing families with kids. Nevertheless the sun is quite present all the year round. Have a look on the statistics at the airport below which are rather a worst case thanks to the high mountains around Torre del Mar ! All the coast is featuring one of the best climate in Europe. We have seen people at beach in december with more than 20 degrees in the air but this is not happening every day in the winter while the summer, especially july and august, does not see generally a single minute of rain.

You will find below the weather statistics (normals) over 3 decades extracted from the site of the spanish national weather forecasts. The data are related to the airport of Malaga located near the coast. Torre del Mar is located further along the coast towards the east and is enjoying even more the protection of the higher mountains in the rear country. The ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada are less than 2 hours away by car.
