Malaga is the captital city of the province. It features an international airport (AGP), an international harbour, high speed trains (AVE) and a modern network of fast scenic highways. See the web site of the spanish airports for companies operating in Malaga. A taxi ride from the airport to Torre del Mar is costing about 55 euros and takes about 35 minutes via the Mediterranean highway (E15). We might also arrange a pickup from the Malaga airport for a little less than that amount. The taxi station of Torre del Mar (picture on the right) is located at less than 10 minutes by foot from our apartment. There is also a bus line operated by Alsina Graells in less than an hour between the Malaga central bus station (next to the train station called Maria Zambrano where the AVE is arriving) and the main bus station of Torre del Mar (picture below on the right) 10 minutes away by foot from our apartment. There are several buses per hour. Some links are direct via the highway. The one-way ticket should cost about 3 euros. If you are planning to rent a car, you might either get one directly from the airport, either in Torre del Mar just on the days you are planning to trip around in the area. At the airport, we are generally renting cars from Record (present only in Spain, car pickup directly at the airport parking without shuttling) or from Helle Hollis (present only in Andalusia, free 5-min shuttle to get to your car). With Helle Hollis, ask our owner's code to receive 15% off. In Torre del Mar, you have for example Yenny. | ![]() |
